hatha Yoga
Vinyasa krama
My teaching methodology is influenced by my revered master Amit Raina, a direct disciple of the proper BKS.Iyengar. In my Yoga classes it takes on a special importance the correct alignment on the posture, paying careful attention to the morphology, anatomy and physical limits of each practitioner. In practice, accessories such as bricks and belts can be used to facilitate the natural alignment of your body. It is a type of Yoga suitable for all levels and in which the risk of injury is minimal compared to other more dynamic disciplines. The asanas (postures) are performed following the principles of “Sthira Sukham Asanam”: firmness, stability, comfort, spaciousness and ease. Vinyasas (sequence of asanas) are performed with special emphasis on the fluidity of the body, in intimate connection with the breath and the present moment. This method of performing the asanas facilitates the development of endurance, flexibility, stability and body awareness. By staying static in the postures in a meditative way, you stay in the present, improve your body connection, and release stress by improving your back and neck pain, something that is closely related.
Yin Yoga Yoga Nidra
These style of classes are very mild and low-energy, which makes them a perfect complement to other more active practices, and an excellent antidote to stress. In the postures a state of deep relaxation is adopted that emphasizes the meditative aspect of Yoga. During the practice you should pay attention to your breathing and be aware of any thoughts or feelings that may arise. These classes are essentially a passive healing practice.
On these styles of Yoga, you restore the body and mind to the function of the parasympathetic nervous system, this helps your body to heal and restore its natural balance, By slowing down your breathing, you lower your blood pressure and create a sense of well-being in your body and mind. By staying static in the asanas in a meditative way, you stay in the present, improve your body conection, and releases stress and tension acumulated in your body and mind.
