Surya namaskar 5 Adho Mukha Svanasana

Adho Mukha Svanasana

Adho means downward. Mukha means face. Svana means dog. This posture resembles a dog stretching with its head and front legs down, and the back legs up.

From Ashwa Sanchalanasana take your left leg back and put your foot parallel to the other. Push the ground forward with your hands and stretch your spine back, while elevating your pelvis and buttocks to the sky. Push your chest down and toward your knees as you put your heels on the floor. This asana is done with an exhalation.
